We aim for 90% of the grains used in the products from Valsemøllen are grown, harvested and milled in Denmark - and always with consideration for people, the enviroment, and climate.

Danish craftsmanship and proud mill traditions are the core of Valsemøllen. Valsemøllen is for those who value quality, good ingredients and a pure love of baking. Since 1899, Valsemøllen has been the standard-bearer for good taste. With more than 120 years of experience in the industry, we lead the way in terms of partnerships, production and innovation.

FLOUR GROUNDED FROM DANISH GRAIN IS NOT A MATTER OF COURSE.

Grain is a natural product that is subject to the nature. Therefore, the quality of the Danish grain varies from each harvest. To ensure the best grain for our flour, we work with selected farmers and their crops. Every year we select which farmers who will deliver grain to Valsemøllen. By constantly collaborating with the very best Danish farmers, we ensure that we have enough grain and that ultimately the flour always has the right quality to bake with.

Development through more than 100 years

A long history in Danish food production

Valsemøllen A/S was founded in the Danish harbour city of Esbjerg in 1899 with a distinctly competitive approach to business. Today Valsemøllen A/S uses the most modern fully automated mills available on the market at our three different sites in Denmark. With 110 employees, the company generates an annual turnover of around EUR 79 million.

Valsemøllen produces grain and flour products for industry, foodservice, bakeries and retail. The product range includes traditional types of flour, mixes, concentrates, improvers, and varieties of kernels. We develop both products and bread concepts and our ambition is to be the customers preferred professional partner.

GROWN, HARVESTED AND MILLED IN DENMARK

Good baked goods are not only about good taste and high quality. For us, it is also about good conscience and common sense. We therefore attach great importance to using Danish grain that is grown and harvested in Denmark. This leads to that the majority of our flour comes from grain grown by Danish farmers. The short journey from Danish fields to our three mills in Køge, Svendborg and Esbjerg spares the climate from unnecessary use of CO2.

THREE MILLS IN DENMARK

Today is the Esbjerg-site located, where it was built in the end of last century, which is at the old habour front in Esbjerg. In many ways the mill does still live up to the sprirt from a quote of its first manager: "Since the mill is built according to the lastest system and has installed the latest machines, any competition in quality and price will be met". Today, Valsemøllen in both Esbjerg, Køge and Svendborg has modern mills with an extensive range, a broad customer portfolio and a stated ambition to constantly increase competitiveness.

  • Became part of the Valsemølle family in 2007

  • Mills and rolles approx. 19.000 tonnes grains and pulses annually for rolled oats and yellow peas
